  Friends and Neighbors,

Summer came quick this year: mayflies in April, wildfire smoke fills the valleys, the tree's roots already ringing the soil dry... but there is rain outside the window here in Laramie, WY. The rain scrubbed air comes in on sweet summer breezes- and just in time.
We've been adding shows left and right, and a summer we were already felt great about has become a busy summer for us. We couldn't be happier.

With Ariana back from her Alaskan adventure and Jackson back from his Mongolian expedition we are finally whole again. We are getting a mountain of new tunes for ya'll this summer.
For a few of our events this summer we're lucky to be joined by Margaret Taberna on the ol' banjo. And we've talked Jackson into showing off some of his talents aside from mandolin and beer drinking.

Lot's of exciting things going on this summer--- we'll see you out there.

Adaptation has always been the name of the game, the dinosaurs couldn't do it--- and they didn't make it. Luckily for the folks in this lovely square state, music festivals can adapt. In a world where every song ever recorded can be accessed with little effort, and even less money, the What Fest is an evolutionary genius. A festival unlike any other.

What Fest is "What you make of it."

What Fest is a free event, run solely on the donations of time, labor, expertise, and good will. Unlike any other free summertime festivals, What fest not only guarantees you a place to sleep under the stars, it doesn't charge you for it.

This year, The Libby Creek Original is happy to announce our participation in this one of a kind festival. July 27th and 28th the Town of Riverside, Wyoming will be lowering their North Platte River draw bridge and graciously allowing the festival to happen in their backyard. Come out and dance along with us and 1500 of your closet friends.

The Parlor with The Silent Comedy

We're excited to announce our latest gig, opening for San Diego band The Silent Comedy, some great musicians with a few bad ass beards. As of April 7th, they're currently on their Spring Revival Tour throughout the mountain west, arriving in Laramie on the 25th of this month. We'll be sharing the stage at the Buckhorn Parlor, starting at 9 p.m., and it should be a hell of a good show!

Here's a little teaser video of them playing a packed Casbah in San Diego:

Check out the gig event on facebook, so they'll remind you if you forget!
